Rona
Rona, our Chief canine handler, has over 22 years of experience working with K-9's. In
addition, she has held positions as a Baltimore (Inner Harbor) Special Police Officer
for a Police Task Force formed under Governor Schaefer's directive and has
performed many security details. She has partnered up with the Maryland State Police
on many state emergency situations. She is a Firefighter and EMT-B for the Berlin
Fire Department where she has served for the past 8 years. Rona has worked and
trained with top Maryland Police K-9 master trainers and has worked extensively with
German Shepherd breeds. Rona's love for dogs and her enthusiasm for training
canines, makes her an important asset to Coastal K-9! She holds a degree in
accounting and business management. She and her husband reside in Berlin, MD.

Ford
Ford is a well trained and very talented Fox Red Labrador and is registered with the
American Kennel Club with a fine pedigree known for their hunting, and pointing,
ability. Ford has been trained professionally by Certified Master Trainer Andy Hanellin.
Ford has logged over 1460 hours of comprehensive training in bed bug (Cimicidae)
detection. Ford is able to differ between live bed bugs and viable eggs from castings
(shed skin) and excretement. In addition to Ford's daily training, which is documented
on daily training logs and available for review, he is re-certified annually by an
independent third party organization. The Master Trainer, Andy, has over 27 years
experience training K-9's and was the Training Director for the Long Island K-9
Search and Rescue Group. He is currently the Director of K-9 Training for Lincoln
County, NC Sherriff's Department and owner of Dogs by Andy, Inc. In addition, Andy
was the founder of K-9 Search and Detection, Inc. based out of New York City and is a
qualified expert witness for canine related court cases involving narcotics and
explosives.

Andrea
Andrea is a licensed Maryland Real Estate Broker and Property Manager with 21
years of experience in the management of property and property rentals. She
understands the importance of ensuring that the properties she and her staff manage
are not only kept clean but are safe for her clients and their guests. With the ever
growing concern for the spread of bed bugs by travelers, Andrea began to research
the problem in order to best serve her clients. As a result, she has completed several
courses of study in Integrated Pest Management and received her Certificate of
Completion from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for Bed Bug
Identification, Biology and Inspection. In addition, she is a candidate for the Healthy
Homes Specialist (HHS) credential by the National Environmental Health Association
(NEHA). Andrea resides in West Ocean City with her husband and four children.
